Philadelphia Tripod Walnut Dishtop Tea Table with suppressed ball shaft.

This Philadelphia Tripod table has ball stem ending in snake feet that are dovetailed into the base.  The circular top has a raised inlaid strip of walnut.  The birdcage has four turnings and holds top onto the stem with a ring and peg.  The antique finish is hand applied and rubbed for a rich patina.  27 1/2″H x 16″ W  Foot splay is approximately 19″  c. 1780
