New England Walnut Roundabout Chair

This reproduction was commissioned by a customer from the likeness of another chair. It has an ogee crest attached with screws to a two piece flat arm rail.  The arms have circular pads.  The flat faced splats are canted at the edges from front to back.  They are tenoned into the plinths and arm rail.  The continuous turned posts are tenoned into the arm rail.  The front leg is an extension of mortised seat rails and ends in a pad foot.  The cross stretchers are held together in the center by a double rabbet. The antique finish is hand applied and rubbed for a rich patina.  Chair 30 3/4″ H  Seat 17 1/4″ H
