Chippendale Walnut Piecrust Tea Table

The carved top which is three feet in diameter has a birdcage support with battens. A brass hand forged banjo hinge holds the top down. The sculptured claw and ball feet and thrust of the ankles adequately support the large circular top. The column is richly turned with a bulbous center, resting on a fully dovetailed base that holds the legs. The antique finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina.
