This table was made to display the tile on the top. The owner had the tile, the rest of the table was built to fit it. Mahogany is the wood used with brass inlay on the pedestal legs and brass around the top edge with glass to protect the tile. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina.
Beautiful custom contemporary desk with document drawers on the right and a liquor cabinet on the left. The top is one solid piece of walnut. The drawers are fully dovetailed with mortise and tenon construction throughout. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina.
This small side table is made of holly wood with a black granite top. These small granite-top side tables are custom made with your choice of wood. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina. The granite is available in different colors and sizes. Some samples are shown below.
This beautiful walnut bed is an original design by Frank Rhodes. It has a raised panel headboard flanked by reeded post. The footboard has gothic raised panels while the molded top has various angled raised panels which are lit to show off the beautiful grain of the wood. The bed rails are attached to the upright post with a bolt and tenon system. The hand carved legs complete this original bed. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina. It is made of mahogany, with mortise and tenon joinery. It has 4 doors revealing hanging space, shelves and hidden compartments. The 4 drawers are made with hand cut dovetails. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina. The measurements are 108″ wide and 88″ tall.
These are two 19th century deck guns that needed new trucks built. During our research we discovered that these guns originally had swivel bases and the trucks we replaced were most likely made in the early 1900’s. The lectern was built using mortise and tenon construction. The raised panels are set into the frame and are able to move freely. Elm, from the fallen Washington College Elm, is used throughout with considerable figure on the raised panels but a more modest pattern on the front panel to show off the carved Washington College seal. This lectern was commissioned by Washington College as their needs for additional speaking areas grew. Made of white oak, plain and quarter sawn. The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina. Size is specific to customer’s needs.
A rectangular top with shaped porringer corners above a fully scalloped skirt on all four sides and cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The stiles are mortised, tenoned, and pinned. The antique finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina.
