Washington College Lectern

The lectern was built using mortise and tenon construction.  The raised panels are set into the frame and are able to move freely.  Elm, from the fallen Washington College Elm, is used throughout with considerable figure on the raised panels but a more modest pattern on the front panel to show off the carved Washington College seal.  The finish is hand applied and rubbed to achieve a rich patina.  c. 1999  Read More >>
